In Kosovo’s evolving labour market, where the movement of workers across borders is growing rapidly, the way we talk and report about work and migration matters greatly. Media reporting plays a key role in shaping public understanding of labour rights, fair recruitment, and the conditions that define decent work, while also empowering the workforce.

The Law on Waste and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) event brought together key stakeholders, experts, local businesses, and Green School students to discuss how the new Law on Waste and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) can strengthen efforts toward a greener Kosovo.

The Climate Change Adaptation Day brought together representatives from institutions, academia, and civil society, to exchange perspectives on how Kosovo can strengthen its resilience to climate change, as part of the Kosovo Sustainable Development Week (KSDW).

As part of efforts to meet the European Union’s requirements and advance Kosovo’s EU integration process, this week workshops and meetings were held with administrative and judicial institutions led by the Environmental Inspectorate within the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning, and Infrastructure, with support from the German Government through Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.

After more than a decade of joint work, the Federal Republic of Germany and the Republic of Kosovo marked the handover of the Centres for Migration and Development and the German Information Centre for Migration, Vocational Training and Career to national partner institutions.

Following an inspiring kick-off in Pristina, participants of the Urban Development and Climate Resilience Lab have now entered the most hands-on phase of the programme, fieldwork across the municipalities of Prizren, Gjakova/Djakovica, and Gjilan/Gnjilane.

Eleven schools from Kosovo have been awarded the title of “Superschool” this year. The selected schools and their programs will contribute to peacebuilding, reconciliation, and intercultural dialogue within the framework of the Western Balkans School Exchange Program.
