Building local government resilience leveraging ecosystems, climate information, and insurance at the Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction

Experts on ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA), climate information services, and climate and disaster risk transfer engaged in a lively discourse, October 15, during a session on “Building Local Government Resilience Leveraging Ecosystems, Climate Information, and Insurance” during the week-long Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (APMCDRR), held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Manila.

This parallel session was hosted by GIZ with funding support from BMUV-IKI and in cooperation with the provincial government of Southern Leyte, the University of the Philippines, PAGASA meteorological agency of the Philippines, UN Habitat, German Red Cross, and RISCO.
