GIZ Project receives recognition from Philippine Coast Guard
The GIZ Project "Support to the Philippine Coast Guard in Securing the International Rules-Based Order in the Indo Pacific Phase 2 (PCGP2)" was recognized during the 51st Founding Anniversary of the Philippine Coast Guard Education, Training and Doctrine Command on September 20 at the Asian Institute of Maritime Studies, Pasay City. Themed as “CGETDC@51: Advancing Excellence, Shaping Tomorrow’s Leaders Towards a Bagong PCG," the event was highlighted by presentation of awards recognizing outstanding contributions from various partners and the announcement of the 2024 CGETDC Awardees.
GIZ, through the PCGP2 Project, was acknowledged for its capacity development activities for the personnel of the Coast Guard Education Training and Doctrine Command- Leadership and Doctrines Development Center (CGETDC-LDDC) in curriculum and doctrine development.
The Project was also recognized for the technical support provided to the LDDC in developing the PCG Curriculum and its support in preparation for digital evidence curriculum materials. The Project, which started in August 2023 and will end on December 31 2024, has three components: Procurement, Capacity-building, and UAV Doctrine Development.
The award was received on behalf of the GIZ project by Maria Regina Corazon Sibal, PCGP2 Advisor for Capacity Building Measures in Digital Evidence and Processing.
