Department of Agriculture and GIZ work together for coconut, cacao, and coffee
At the Department of Agriculture's Crop Year 2022 Year-End Assessment for Special Projects held in Bohol, Philippines, GIZ Senior Advisor Tomas Cabuenos Jr. presented the future plans of three projects aimed at capacity-building, sustainable agriculture, and improving smallholder livelihoods. These projects are: Sustainable Development and Good Agricultural Practices in the Philippine Coconut Supply Chain (SDGCoco Project); Improving Smallholder Livelihoods through Business Models (Cacao+); and Improving Smallholder Coffee Farming Systems in Southeast Asia (PhilCoffee+). GIZ works with DA on promoting these crops to help farmers produce in more efficient ways, for better yield and income.
