Safety in the country of assignment

We recommend that freelancers and long-term experts of German nationality register with the German Foreign Office system 'Elektronische Erfassung von Deutschen im Ausland (Elefand) (Electronic registration of Germans abroad; German only)'. 

This will ensure that, in the event of a crisis or should you need to be evacuated, your data, and where applicable, those of any relatives that have travelled with you to your place of assignment, are available to the German mission abroad. We ask that nationals of other countries contact the GIZ country office.
