Context

In the rural areas of the northern West Bank, many Palestinian families struggle to sustain their agricultural livelihoods. Limited access to essential resources, a lack of entrepreneurial skills, and insufficient financial and agricultural extension services undermine their economic resilience and stability.

Additionally, obstacles such as inadequate training and employment opportunities hinder economic growth and limit prospects for marginalised communities. Addressing these challenges is essential to improving the livelihoods of rural Palestinians and fostering long-term economic stability in the region.

Objective

The economic stability of vulnerable agricultural workers in the northern West Bank has improved.

Approach

The project focuses on advancing economic development, creating employment opportunities, and improving education systems in the Palestinian Territories. It implements targeted measures to address challenges faced by agricultural enterprises and smallholder farmers in the northern West Bank. Its activities include the following:

  • Collaborating with agricultural enterprises to refine business models and operational strategies to align with market needs.
  • Equipping public actors to provide agricultural advisory services tailored to the needs of diverse groups, including gender-responsive approaches.
  • Improving personnel skills and operational conditions to promote resource-efficient and climate-adapted practices for smallholder farmers.
  • Facilitating the exchange of practical knowledge, validated methods, and learning experiences to improve economic resilience.
