Research on Law Enforcement Agencies Capabilities
The Transparency, Integrity and Accountability Programme in South Africa (TIP) supports state and non-state actors to contribute towards the implementation of the National Anti-corruption Strategy (NACS) in a whole-of-government and societal manner. The TIP provides capacity development for anti-corruption actors in the state, civil society and the business sector. In addition to the whole-of-government and societal approach of the TIP, the programme actively pursues a human rights-based orientation including gender equality.
The TIP in partnership with the Department of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (DPME) and under the guidance of the National Anti-corruption Advisory Council (NACAC) are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified service provider to undertake research on the capabilities of the South African Law Enforcement Agencies in relation to the country’s efforts to fight corruption. The NACAC is the process of developing a proposal for a revised anti-corruption architecture. This assignment is part of the NACAC’s endeavors to find a lasting solution to effective and well-coordinated efforts to deal with systemic corruption in the country. The research will include international benchmarking on the effectiveness of law enforcement agencies in combating corruption, among other things.
GIZ invites eligible and professional companies with local presence in South Africa to participate in this tender.
