CSO Fair in Luang Prabang Showcases Impact on Local Communities

The CSO Fair Northern Laos in Luang Prabang City wrapped up successfully last week, bringing together a wide range of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) to showcase their positive impact on local communities.  

Various visitors explored the fair, discovering how CSOs are helping to shape Laos' development. The event featured lively exhibitions, cultural performances, community-based products, and engaging discussions on health, the environment, and community development. Visitors and students also participated in Q&A sessions to learn more about the work being done on the ground. ️ 

The Team Europe Programme, "CEGGA II" supported the fair to promote sustainable development and empower local communities through CSOs. In its second phase, CEGGA II has provided small grants to 23 CSOs to carry out community development projects. The Programme is funded by Team Europe partners Switzerland, Germany, and the European Union, and is implemented by GIZ.
