The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is an international cooperation enterprise for sustainable development with worldwide operations. In line with its core objective of shaping a future worth living, GIZ emphasizes sustainability in all its endeavors. As a German publicbenefit company acting on behalf of the German government, GIZ has been actively engaged in the development cooperation landscape since 2012, particularly in collaboration with Botswana and the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
Founded in 1992, SADC comprises 16 member states and plays a pivotal role in fostering economic integration, peace, security, and sustainable development in the Southern African region. The Federal Republic of Germany has been supporting the implementation of the SADC integration agenda since its inception.
GIZ, commissioned by partners such as the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the European Union (EU), the Austrian Development Agency (ADA), and the Green Climate Fund (GCF), is committed to assisting SADC in achieving its overarching objectives.
Currently, joint programmes between GIZ and SADC are implemented across focal areas, including:
- Enhancing national-regional linkages
- Promoting economic integration
- Addressing climate resilience, natural resource management, transboundary water issues, and energy sustainability
GIZ supported programmes and projects regularly produce visibility materials which shall have a professional design and layout.
The GIZ Country Office in Gaborone is seeking a professional graphic design agency or freelance designer to support the development of high-quality visibility materials that align with GIZ’s corporate design standards and those of its commissioning parties, including the European Union and SADC.
Scope of Work:
- Design professional and visually engaging communication materials.
- Ensure uniformity and adherence to corporate design guidelines.
- Develop creative layouts for reports, brochures, and digital content.
- Deliver high-quality, state-of-the-art designs.
Eligible bidders must demonstrate the following:
- Concept Note (1 page)
- Average annual turnover for the last 3 financial years of at least BWP 145,000.00 (EUR 10,000.00)
- Average number of employees and managers for the past 3 calendar years of at least 1-2 persons
- At least 3 reference projects in the graphic design services
- At least 3 reference projects in Botswana or SADC region in the last 3 years
- Company Profile, Tax clearance Certificate and Certificate of incorporation
Locally based qualified & competent bidders are Invited to express their interest for the assignment.
