EU Integration Advisor
Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Ukraine is seeking a qualified professional for the project “Strengthening Ukraine’s EU Alignment in the Rule of Law” (3*E4U) and “Strengthening of the civil society in the Eastern Partnership” to fill the position of the: EU Integration Advisor (full-time, Kyiv)

Areas of responsibility:
- Track the Ukrainian EU accession process and related events on the EU level and provide ad-hoc analysis.
- Establish internal dissemination formats for news on the EU accession process and operate them as agreed.
- Contribute to the establishment and application of internal guidelines on operational and communication matters related to the EU accession process.
- Support the work of the GIZ-internal task force on European Integration through preparation and debriefing of meetings, minute taking.
- Establish, fill and update internal knowledge resources, such as portfolio overviews, overview of activities, and similar.
- Provide any other support as required by the internal EU Accession Coordination Task Force.
Qualifications:
- Degree in political science, law or equivalent.
- Extensive knowledge of the Ukrainian government’s European Union accession process.
- Extensive knowledge of the structure and procedures of the European Union, in particular with regard to EU enlargement processes.
- First experience in the area of coordination of networks as well as communication activities.
- Excellent command of written and spoken Ukrainian and English; command of German a plus.

- Strong interest in EU accession policies and Ukraine’s reform agenda aligning to the acquis communautaire.
- Team player with excellent intercultural competences.
- Strong organisational, planning and managerial competences.
- Excellent communication, writing, presentation and organisational skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and independently, often under tight deadlines.
- High level of discretion, integrity, and sense of tone.
- Aptitude for assessing material and content of politically sensitive nature.

Employment conditions
Full-time position with 40-hours working week. Starting as soon as possible. The contract duration is till the end of November 2025.
