National Management Committee Meeting 2024

Last Friday, 26 July 2024, the GIZ Land Management and Decentralized Planning project (LMDP III) with the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Planning and Investment (DIC/MPI) jointly organised the National Management Committee Meeting 2024 in Vientiane Capital.

The meeting was attended by the Department of Planning, Department of Investment Promotion, Development Research Institute and Training Center of Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI), Department of Land, Department of Personnel, Natural Resource and Environment Research Institute of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MoNRE), Department of Agriculture Land Management, Department of Forestry of Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF), and educational institutes from Polytechnic college and related faculties from National University of Laos as well as Head of Development Copperation (BMZ) from the German Embassy in Lao PDR.

All three target districts and GIZ LMDP shared the achievements and challenges towards the implementation of project activities at national and provincial level for land use planning, customary tenure recognition, promotion investment, with other topics on coordination mechanisms for responsible land policy, institutional capacity and knowledge management. One of the highlights being the activity is the progress indicators of the LMPD Phase 3 project as well as the further outlooks of the LMDP Phase 4 project.
