CEGGA II Programme Hosts Programme Management Workshop to Showcase Achievements and Enhance Collaboration
In Vientiane, 1-2 April 2024, The CEGGA II Programme, in collaboration with the Head of Cabinet Office, Ministry of Home Affairs, successfully organized the Programme Management workshop to share the progress of recent and upcoming activities as well as to jointly identify key achievements and showcasing implementation strategies.
The workshop was chaired by Mr. Vanna Boupha, Head of Cabinet Office at the Ministry of Home Affairs, and Ms. Barbara Meincke, CEGGA Programme Director, GIZ Laos. It brought together more than 50 representatives from various government partners including the Ministry of Home Affairs, National Assembly, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry as well as partners from two provinces: Luangprabang Province and Khammouan Province, and the technical teams from CEGGA-GIZ.
The purpose of the workshop was to foster discussion and exchange on the progress of implementation, highlighting synergies across components and addressing challenges encountered thus far. Participants engaged in updating prioritized activities and discussed results and impact of the programme.
The CEGGA Programme is a joint initiative of the Government of Lao PDR and its “Team Europe” partners, Switzerland, Germany and EU. Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH has been tasked to implement the programme on behalf of Team Europe with MoHA and the concerned Lao implementing partners to achieve the overall objective to increase citizens’ engagement in the national development process of Lao PDR through the promotion of good governance, human rights, and the rule of law.
