National River Basin Summit highlights cooperative efforts in addressing resilience measures
This year’s summit aimed to raise awareness on the interconnectedness of climate change and human activities and its impacts on the environment using evidence-based methodologies. The Summit also provided a platform for promoting ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA) measures and identifying opportunities for scaling up EbA work within the context of river basin management.
With the theme "Accelerating change through partnerships and cooperation" the event highlighted cooperative efforts among various national and international agencies in addressing how river basin management incorporates resilience measures as part of their response to anthropogenic contamination and climate change which threaten water security.
