GIZ Viet Nam in Green Economy Forum & Exhibition 2022
GIZ Viet Nam joined the Green Economy Forum and Exhibition (GEFE), which took place at the end of November 2022 in Ho Chi Minh City.
On the first day, we welcomed Dr. Nicole Glanemann - Deputy Head of Division Bilateral Energy Cooperation, German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), and other visitors to our booth, which was a part of German Pavilion at the event.
With the theme ‘Just Energy Transition and Digital Transformation’, we introduced the participants with our key activities in the field of renewable energy, energy efficiency, smart grids and vocational trainings in Viet Nam, highlighted our partnership with private companies and offered opportunities to local businesses for further technical cooperation. The visitors learnt about our work through informative presentations and videos, vivid VR-mode experiences, instructive publications and brief discussions with our experts.
The Energy Support Programme (ESP) and the Programme Reform of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Viet Nam set up the booth on behalf of the German Government.
The former promotes the expansion of renewables and the increase of energy efficiency to support Viet Nam to meet its steadily growing energy demand. The latter aims at better aligning the TVET system to the changing world of work which is increasingly green and digital.
Hosted by EuroCharm Viet Nam, the GEFE 2022 took place from 28 to 30 November 2022. The event's primary objective is to support Viet Nam in achieving its COP26 commitments and the socio-economic development goals specified in its National Green Growth Strategy for 2021-2030.
